⁣Itegue Taitu Betul ⁣, founder of Addis Ababa (“New Flower”) in 1886. She ruled as Empress of Ethiopia from 1889 until 1913.

When Yatreda filmed the Taitu motion portraits, we had to choose between recreating an existing historical photo, or something fresh.
