For centuries, the women of northern Ghana have harvested the nuts of the shea butter tree and processed them into a rich, nourishing oil that is used in cosmetics and skin care products around the world. This process, which is traditionally done by hand, is labor-intensive but an important source of income for women in the region.
:
The shea butter tree is more than just a source of income for women. It is also a symbol of resilience and empowerment.

⁣Ojude Oba 🇳🇬

One of my goals for this year was to tell the story of the Ojude Oba festival which happens in my mom’s home town in Ijebu Ode.

I did an extensive video and this would be on my YouTube channel later this week. What really amuses me about this is the uniformity and how the colors go so well on everyone, the peak of Owambe!
