⁣Itegue Taitu Betul, ⁣founder of Addis Ababa (“New Flower”) in 1886. She ruled as Empress of Ethiopia from 1889 until 1913.

When we as Yatreda filmed the Taitu motion portraits, we had to choose between recreating an existing historical photo, or something fresh. So we decided to bring the Empress back to life with an original composition, unseen before. Our dear Menen captured her expressions, essence & style.
