This is Hegra, Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site. 🇸🇦✨ The ancient archaeological site contains more than 110 tombs across desert sands that were built by the Nabatean, an Arab tribe that emerged as a distinct civilization and political entity between the 4th and 2nd centuries BCE. ...There's nothing like seeing it in person for the first time. I still often feel it was only a dream. ✨
If you’re in the mood for a delicious and fruity pastry, try making Blueberry Quark Wreaths! This German pastry is made with flaky pastry dough, creamy quark filling, and juicy blueberries.
🥛 Ingredients:
- pre-made Puff pastry
- 300g quark
- 100g powdered sugar
- 8 g of vanilla sugar
- 2 teaspoons of cornstarch
- 2 egg yolks
- Blueberries
Tip: If you want to make only a few Quark Wreaths, you can use half of the filling ingredients.
👩🍳 Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 190°C.
Mix the ingredients for the filling to a creamy mass.
Cut the puff pastry into circles and place them in the molds. Form thin strands and braid 3 strands together, then brush with egg yolk and place inside the mold. Add blueberries and pour the quark mixture over the top.
Bake the Blueberry Quark Wreaths in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before removing from the molds.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Enjoy the fruity and creamy taste of Blueberry Quark Wreaths with your loved ones! 👩🏻🍳
